So, I finally finished writing Part XII. Took me long enough, right? What was that? Two months? Three? Anyway, it's currently over 4000 words, soooo it's gonna take some editing before I post it. I will absolutely post it sometime this week. My goal is Sunday night/early Monday morning.

Wow. It's been far too long since I posted anything. Damn. That wasn't even a full part that I posted last time. Yikes.

I'm still alive! I'm still here, still interested in finishing up this fic. Rerping has made me realize how much I want a solid story for Chris and Rachel. I know part of why I'm dragging my feet on this part-- I'm afraid of the next part, but there's no way to get both parts completely perfect on the first try and I've got to realize that.

Title: "Part 11.5: Castle" (800 words)

Summary: Ever wondered where Luis was and what he was doing before he caught up with Leon and Ashley on the outer walkway of the castle?

Warnings: Mild violence and language.

Pairing: None really. Perhaps the ever-present implied Luis/Rachel.

Author's Note: This is what took me so long to write, everyone. Can't say I particularly liked it, but I was really glad to have this breakthrough moment when I was like "why can't Luis go here?" I didn't want to continue with the next real part until I wrote and posted this, so times are getting better.

Summary: Times are getting tense and action filled all around. Luis and Rachel seek refuge in a familiar cabin while Chris and Rachel are forced to work together in a tight situation.

Author's Note: Wow. That was fast! I'm pretty certain that this is my longest part yet and I like this one. I see all of it really well in my head and I hope that you'll be able to as well! Biiiig thanks to youresmalltime for this brilliant Chris idea and dialogue, as usual. And, yes, it was really weird typing "Ashley" during this part.

Title: "Part X: Suspicious" (3766 words)

Summary: Luis and Rachel start to have problems that may affect their partnership in parts to come. Just as Rachel starts to let her guard down, Chris finds something else about her that doesn't quite add up.

Pairing: Implied Luis/Rachel.

Author's Note: I kinda like this part. LOL. I'm excited about the next part! Hopefully that one will be written faster than usual and I won't forget what happened in the previous part. Big thanks to youresmalltime for being so patient with me when I asked for help with Chris's dialogue. The part where he and Rachel are talking near the beginning of their section was written about four times before I finally liked what was happening. Enjoy!

Summary: July 21st, 2006. Before RE5, before Jill finds Chris again to track down Spencer. Chris is beginning to miss being active in the anti-Umbrella movement and it shows.

Summary: Rachel's getting back to her school life after the Raccoon City disaster. After she's been dumped by her boyfriend and her friends.

Author's Note: Rachel coping with losing her family, diving into her studies, and basically shutting out every other aspect of her life after Raccoon City really fascinates me. Expect more one-shots about this topic because I think it would be interesting to explore how much she changes from starting college to the girl you meet in my canon fic.

Summary: The conversation Chris and Jill have in the helicopter after the events of "Resident Evil 5".

Author's Note: This seemed so much better in my head. The original idea had something to do with Jill asking Chris about his kids as a joke and not realizing how uncomfortable a topic that is. I cut that out because I didn't know how to word it or how to fit it in, so, instead, you get this. Honestly, I think it's boring and I won't be offended if everybody else thinks it is, too. It was just time to post it. I may go back later and fix it. Getting into character with Chris and Jill has been really hard lately. Writing times are bad, guys.

Author's Note: So, this really isn't as bad as I thought it was once I read it over again. It was enough to make me blush and skip over the parts I wrote when I was REALLY drunk. It's not wonderful, but it's not terrible either. It's okay. Not gonna lie, it was hard to edit, because I was embarrassed not only for Christochel, but for myself just for writing it. If it's repetitive, that's exactly why. LOL. Enjoy!

Author's Note: Took me long enough, right? This part is entirely a flashback, so, no, I didn't make a mistake with all the italics. It was harder to describe the exact location of the inside of the facility, so if you have any questions about that, ask. I finally just figured it out for myself. I might change this part later on to include some action, but for now, this is what works the best. Also, I think I edited this part with my asscheeks.

Title: "Running" (500 words)

Summary: A small mention in a rerp turned into a full blown one-shot.

Warnings: Mild language.

Pairing: Christochel, even though one of them is absent.

Author's Note: I don't know why I wrote this. LOL. Consider it the Christochel alternative to the Leon response one-shot. I tried to make this work in rerp!verse and with main fic canon verse, so it's kind of a weird never time. I'll decide if this is canon later on. And, hey, at least I'm writing again, right? Oh, and the song is "Fake Baby" by Hellacopter. Yeah, I did a google lyric search and then listened to part of it on youtube... Chris COULD listen to this, if he really wanted to...

Author's Note: This might be the fastest part I've written yet? Maybe? Anyway, I'm not completely dissatisfied with this one, either. It could have been better, if I had done a speed-through of "Resident Evil 4" again to find out details of the facility. I think that what I wrote works, though, for what they know now and will find out later. Also, in Part IV, when Rachel is reviewing her inventory, she was supposed to have blueprints of the facility and I apparently didn't realize that I never added that in until I was writing this part and the map became necessary. So, in case you're wondering, they've always had that giant map of the Paris facility. I'll add that into Part IV later.

Also, this part was 3995 words before I edited it done. And, as always, thank you to youresmalltime for directly and indirectly inspiring Chris.
